What are the fees for Interac e-Transfer?

There is a cost associated with Requesting an Interac e-Transfer.  Please see the latest Personal and Business Service Charge Bulletin on vancity.com for our e-Transfer fees. This fee is withdrawn from your account at the time the receiver accepts the request and the transfer is deposited into your account. If the request is not fulfilled, you will not pay the fee.

  • The fee is non-refundable, so once you request the transaction, the fee will be incurred

Should you recall or cancel the transaction or the recipient does not accept the funds, the fee will not be refunded. This is because Vancity incurs the cost of the transaction at the time of the initial transaction.

There is no cost associated with depositing an Interac e-Transfer to your Vancity accounts when the transfer was initiated by another person or party.

E Package Chequing and, Access Chequing personal accounts, and Independent Business account holders benefit from free Interac e-Transfer transactions.

You can avoid the Interac e-Transfer fees when you transfer funds to another Vancity member by selecting ‘Transfer to Another Member’ on the ‘Transfer Money’ page instead of sending an e-Transfer. To do this, you will need your recipient’s Vancity relationship number and account name.
