What is Interac®sign-in service?

Government Sign-In by Verified.Me® is now Interac® sign-in service.

For you, nothing changes. You can continue to rely on the same secure sign in service with your Vancity online banking credentials.

Vancity is a Sign-In Partner of Interac® sign-in service. To take advantage of this easy and secure way to log in, look for the Sign-In Partner option on many Government of Canada websites. Click the Vancity logo and follow the steps to log in with your credentials for personal online banking (MEMBER CARD # and online banking password). Please note, business banking members cannot use Interac® sign-in service.

Stay Safe: Neither Vancity or Interac® sign-in service will ever send you an unprompted email or text message asking you to provide personal or account information or log into online banking. If you receive an unprompted request for your personal information, please call our Member Services Centre or email information_security@vancity.com

 

You do not need to register for this service,  you simply have to look for the Sign-In partner option on one of 80 Government of Canada websites and login with your current online banking credentials. To verify your identity, you will be asked to enter details like your Social Insurance Number or date of birth the first time you log in this way. On certain sites, like CRA’s My Account for Individuals, when you first log in with your Vancity online banking credentials you will only have limited access to your account. You will need to input a security code sent by mail or email in order to have full access.

You can continue to use your existing login for the Government of Canada site and also use your Vancity online banking credentials to login. If you would like to switch your access from another financial institution to Vancity, follow these steps.

No, you can only use your Vancity online banking login credentials for personal banking accounts at this time.

No, you can still sign into any site you have previously used your Vancity login credentials to access.
