How do I change my Sign-In Partner to Vancity for CRA or other government websites?
SecureKey Concierge has rebranded to Interac Sign-in.
For you, nothing changes. You can continue to rely on the same secure sign in service with your Vancity online banking credentials.
Vancity is a Sign-In Partner with Interac Sign-in.
That means that Vancity members who already have login credentials for personal online banking (MEMBER CARD # and online banking password), can use the same login credentials to sign in and access more than 80 Government of Canada websites, including the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Each government website can only be associated with one Sign-In Partner (financial institution) at a time. Please note, business banking members cannot use Interac Sign-In.
You do not have to switch accounts if you have log in credentials to access the website directly (not through a Sign-In Partner).
If you’d like to switch your Sign-In Partner to Vancity, follow the steps below:
- On the CRA My Account page, click the “Sign-In Partner’ button.
- You will be re-directed to the next page, click on the click the “Switch My Sign-In Partner” text link at the top of the page.
- You’ll see a page explaining the switch process. Click the “Continue Switch” button.
- Click the logo of the financial institution you are currently using to log in to CRA and follow through with that login process.
- You’ll then be directed back to the “Interac Sign-in” page where you’ll click on the Vancity logo and follow the login process again, this time using your Vancity login credentials.
- At this point you’ll be redirected back to CRA and your Vancity login credentials will now be associated with your CRA account.
Because you can only link your CRA account to one Sign-In Partner at a time, the previous financial institution login you used will no longer work. Be sure you authorize Vancity as your new Sign-In Partner before you cancel your sign-in preference with the old one. Follow the same steps to switch your Sign-in Partner on other government agency sites as well, such as Service Canada.
Please note, this service is not available for business banking members at this time.
