How do I use eSignature?

The ability to sign documents electronically will help you complete some transactions from the safety of your own home.


In order to use an electronic signature we may need to:

  1. Verify your identity by phone
  2. Ask for your cell phone number and email address
  3. Include a secret Q & A question


A Vancity representative will confirm your email address and notify you to expect a digital document that needs your eSignature.

You’ll receive an email from vancity_esignature@e-signlive.ca with instructions. Once completed, you will receive a second email with the option to download and save the signed documents.  

  1. We will ask you to provide or confirm your email address and your cell phone number for additional security.
  1. You’ll receive an email from vancity_esignature@e-signlive.ca that contains a link to the document(s) that need to be signed. Click on the button labelled View your documents.
  1. At the Guest Login screen, you’ll need to enter a one-time passcode sent to your cell phone or answer a pre-determined security question. 
  1. You will be asked to read and accept an Electronic Disclosure and Signature Agreement. Click ACCEPT to continue
  1. Review the document and Click to Sign each identified field and then click OK to confirm. The number of signatures where you’ll need to click to sign will be identified at the top of the document. You’ll be prompted to view the next signature or you can scroll through the document.
  1. After you’ve eSigned all the required places in the document, a message will appear thanking you for signing your documents. Click EXIT
  2. You will receive a copy of the email and be able to download files for your records.

Vancity has selected OneSpan™ Sign as an electronic signature (eSignature) software solution to allow for signing of documents electronically.

We’re currently expanding e-signature capabilities to other processes and documents.

For the health and safety of our staff and members during the COVID-19 situation, we encourage you to use our eSignature service.

Please contact the Vancity representative who sent you the documents. They will help answer any questions you may have.

 

Troubleshooting

The Vancity representative who sent you the document will receive a notification email that you are locked out and can restore your access.

For security reasons, your browser session may time out. To try again, please close the browser window and click View your documents on the email again.

If you’re still experiencing an issue, contact the Vancity representative who sent you the documents.

Please review to ensure that you’ve completed all prior fields in the document.

Please check that the email from vancity_esignature@e-signlive.ca is not marked as spam or is placed in the Spam folder. If it is, please move it to your inbox and try the link again.
