You can apply for a personal enviro Visa card online at vancity.com/CreditCards, at a branch, and over the phone by calling Card Services at 604-877-4999 or toll-free at 1-800-611-8472.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be at least 19 years of age or older
- Live in British Columbia and have a BC home address
- Have previous credit history
- Not have declared bankruptcy in the last 7 years
To be eligible for an enviro Visa Infinite card, you must also meet one of the following criteria:
- $60,000 annual personal income or $100,000 annual household income, or
- $250,000 or more in investable funds (including the money saved in your chequing and savings accounts and the total market value of your RRSP, TFSA or other investment accounts)
To be eligible for an enviro Visa Infinite Privilege card, you must also meet one of the following criteria:
- $200,000 annual household income, or
- $400,000 or more in investable funds (including money saved in your chequing and savings accounts and the total market value of your RRSP, TFSA or other investment accounts)
If you’ve declared bankruptcy in the last 7 years or have no previous credit history, the enviro Secured Visa card may be a better option for you as you will still be able to qualify for a credit card. It gives you the same benefits as the enviro Visa card and allows you to establish or rebuild your credit.
How do I apply for a Business Use enviro Visa card?
To be eligible for an enviro Visa Business card, you must be a
- Be at least 19 years old
- Live in British Columbia and have a BC address
- Vancity business member
- Small to medium-sized business
- Sole proprietor, partnership, limited company, co-operative or Not-for-Profit organization
To be eligible for an enviro Visa Infinite Business card you must
- Be at least 19 years old
- Live in British Columbia and have a BC address
- Vancity business member.
- Small to medium-sized business.
- Sole proprietor, partnership, limited company, co-operative or Not-for-Profit organization.
- Meet one of the following:
- $250,000 or more in investable funds (including the money saved in your chequing and savings accounts and the total market value of your RRSP, TFSA or other investment, accounts), or
- $100,000 annual household income or $60,000 annual personal income

The application for an enviro Visa card is by appointment with a Business Banking Account Manager at the branch. You can make an appointment at your nearest community branch by calling 604-877-7000 or toll-free at 1-888-826-2489 to set up an appointment and learn what you’ll need to bring along.
The information that you will need to bring to your appointment will depend on the type of business entity you are. For detailed information by type of business you can reference the Opening Account page on vancity.com
Only Vancity business members can apply but you can apply for a Visa card and a Vancity business membership at the same time.
Generally, it takes about 7-10 business days for an application to be approved. However, if your application is missing any account information or needs clarification, it’ll take longer for your application to be approved.
Once your application has been approved, you’ll receive a notice in the mail with a PIN #. Your new Visa card will be delivered separately a few days later.
If your application is declined, you’ll receive a letter in the mail within 10 days.
