- In the menu, select More
- In the submenu, select CRA Direct Deposit enrolment
- Select the account you would like the funds to be deposited into
- Enter your Social Insurance Number
- Check off your authorization to let Vancity share your banking information with the CRA for the purpose of establishing or changing direct deposit.
- Click Continue
- Review the information
- Click I Agree
- Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)
- Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB)
- Income tax refund
- Goods and services tax / Harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit and any similar provincial and territorial payments
- Canada child benefit (CCB) and similar provincial and territorial payments
- Canada workers benefit (CWB)
- Deemed overpayment of tax
Using the online process, the direct deposit information will take up to 2 business days to appear in your CRA account.
No action is required, you will continue to receive any amounts to be paid to you by the CRA to your existing account at Vancity or other financial institution.
If you wish to make a change to your existing CRA direct deposit information, complete the set up using online banking and any amounts to be paid to you by the CRA will be directly deposited to your Vancity account. This will replace all previous CRA direct deposit authorizations.
You must apply directly on the CRA website to determine your eligibility and subsidy amount.
Your business must have a Vancity account opened prior to March 1, 2020 and a valid 15-digit business number (BN) which includes your payroll account (RP).
In addition, the legal name of the business on file with us and your business owner details must match what the CRA has on file, or else your direct deposit enrollment may not be successfully processed by CRA.

- In the left hand menu, select Account Services
- In the submenu, select CRA Direct Deposit for businesses (CEWS)
- Read the Payment Information and click Next
- Complete company information. Select the account you would like the funds to be deposited into, and complete corporate officer information. Click Next
- Complete your information and provide your consent to authorize the direct deposit. Click Next
- Review the information
- Click I Agree
CRA direct deposit set up is unavailable on the Vancity mobile app and mobile web. Please use a computer to complete the set up in online banking.

Our CRA direct deposit for businesses enrollment feature will enable direct deposits in support of Canada emergency wage subsidy (CEWS) which will be paid into your business payroll account. It will not apply to other CRA account types for the corporation income tax refund, GST sales tax refund, or refund of excise tax or other levies at this time. Please go to the CRA website to setup or change direct deposit authorizations for Good and Services Tax (RT) and Corporate Income tax (RC) payments.

No action is required, you will continue to receive payments to your existing account at Vancity or other financial institution for each CRA program account type.
If you wish to make a change to your existing CRA direct deposit information for your payroll account (RP), complete the set up using online banking and any amounts to be paid to you for Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy(CEWS) and refund of payroll deductions by the CRA will be directly deposited to your Vancity account. This will replace all previous CRA direct deposit authorization for your payroll account (RP).
Please go to the CRA website to set up or change direct deposit authorizations for other CRA account types to receive Good and Services Tax (RT) and Corporate Income tax (RC) payments
If you use Online Business Plus to manage your Vancity business accounts, please go to the CRA website to set up or change direct deposit authorizations for all CRA account types. The legal name of the business and your business owner details must match what the CRA has on file, or else your direct deposit enrollment may not be successfully processed by CRA.
