Is Apple Pay secure?
Yes, Apple Pay is a secure way to make transactions using your iPhone and Apple Watch. Every purchase is kept secure with Touch ID, Face ID, or your passcode to prevent strangers from using Apple Pay on your devices. Apple Pay also doesn’t store or share your private account information. After your card is verified, a number that is different to your original card number is created for use with Apple Pay called a Device Account Number. A new number is created for each card on each device. Apple doesn’t store or have access to the original card numbers of credit, or debit, cards that you add to Apple Pay. Your cards are associated with your Apple ID to help you add and manage your cards across your devices.
