How do I create or edit Interac e-Transfer Profiles?

Steps to follow


The first time you send an Interac e-Transfer, you will be prompted to set up an e-Transfer profile. You will need to log in to your online banking account to follow the steps below.


Step 1:

Log in online banking.

Step 2:

On the left menu bar, navigate to ‘Transfer Money’, click ‘Add/Delete Contacts’, and select ‘Edit Sender Profile’.

Note: Under the ‘Add/Delete Contacts’ tab, you can edit your own e-Transfer profile as well as your recipient’s profile.

Step 3:

Edit your Interac e-Transfer profile.

Please note that the phone number entered must be a Canadian phone number.

Both the sender and recipient must have Canadian Bank accounts at participating financial institutions for a successful e-Transfer.

Step 1:

Log in online and click on the Interac e-Transfers box.

Step 2:

Click on settings.

Step 3:

Choose “My Profile”.

Step 4:

Edit your Interac e-Transfer profile.

Please note that the phone number entered must be a Canadian phone number.

Both the sender and recipient must have Canadian Bank accounts at participating financial institutions for a successful e-Transfer.

This is the information that will be used by Interac to complete your e-Transfers. You can update this information at any time by simply clicking on Edit Sender Profile.
