How do I enable multiple account biometric login?
Prerequisites:
- You have set up biometric (fingerprint for Android) recognition on your device already
To enable biometric login to multiple accounts on the same device, complete the following steps:
Step 1. Log in to the first account (“Account #1), being sure that the “Remember Me” box on the login screen has been ticked.
Step 2. Ensure that biometric login has been enabled on this account by navigating to Settings > Biometric Setup and ensuring that “Use Biometric Login” has been toggled on. |
|
Step 3. Log out of Account #1 by tapping “Log Out” in the upper-right corner of the app’s home screen (or in the app’s menu).
Step 4. Follow the process to log in to the app biometrically but cause the biometric validation to fail. You can do this by turning the phone away or obscuring the FaceID sensor/camera (Apple FaceID) or by scanning an unregistered fingerprint or laying a non-registered body part such as knuckle on the fingerprint sensor (Apple TouchID or Android fingerprint biometrics).
Step 5. Once biometric validation fails, select “cancel” instead of “try again.” |
|
Step 6. Enter the last 10 digits of the MemberCard number for the second account (“Account #2”) and the password for that account, being sure to tick the Remember Me box before tapping Login.
Step 7. Enable biometric access on this second account by following the directions in Step 2, above.
Step 8. Log out of Account #2 by tapping Log Out in the upper right corner of the app’s home screen. Step 9. Finally, log in to the app once more. This time, the app will first attempt biometric validation, which you should allow (you want biometric login to work here). Once your biometrics has been validated, you will now be presented with selections for the last 10 digits of the MemberCard number for all the accounts you have logged into biometrically while ticking the “Remember Me” box. Select the account you wish to view/work with. The app will now log in and function normally. |
