What do the numbers associated with my account mean?
Here’s a summary of all the numbers you need to be aware of:
MEMBER CARD number | 10-digits | This is the number you need to log in to online, mobile and telephone banking.
Enter the last 10-digits on your MEMBER CARD® debit card and existing PAC number. If your MEMBER CARD # starts with a zero (or several zeros), include them when you log in. |
PAC # (Personal Access Code) | 5- to 8- digits | PAC # is a secret password you enter to log in online, mobile and telephone banking.
Remember that your PAC # is different than your PIN #. PAC # is for log in to to our online, mobile and phone banking systems. |
PIN # (Personal Identification Number) | 4-digits | PIN # is associated with your MEMBER CARD debit card, and is a password you enter when you’re using ATMs or making a point-of-sale purchase. |
Relationship number | 7- to 8- digits | All members will have at least two relationship numbers, including a separate Relationship number attached to Membership Shares.
You’ll need the new Relationship number to complete some transactions such as member-to-member transfers and to redeem Vancity RewardsTM points for some cash back options. |

Financial account numbers | 12 digits | Every single account is assigned a 12 digit financial account number. This is the account number you will need for setting up direct deposit or an automatic bill payment, in addition to your transit and financial institution numbers.
You will need this number to redeem Vancity RewardsTM points for some cash back options. |
Contract numbers | Your TFSAs, RRSPs and RRIFs will have Contract numbers.
You will need this number to redeem Vancity RewardsTM points for some cash back options. |
