When you send an Interac® e-Transfer to someone, an email or text notification will be sent to the recipient within 30 minutes. The notification will contain a link. The recipient will need to follow the instructions to accept the funds.
If you do not have a web-enabled phone or want to avoid data fees on your smartphone, you can type the link provided into your browser on any computer.
If the recipient does not receive an email within 30 minutes of the sender requesting the transfer, have the recipient check their junk mail folder.
